Secure Bytes BV takes your privacy seriously and handles personal data with care. This statement explains which data we process, why, and how we protect it. The short version: we collect as little as possible.
No cookies, no forms
This website uses no cookies and contains no forms. We don't track your browsing and we place nothing on your device. The only personal data we process is the data you give us yourself when you get in touch, for example by email or phone, or when you become a client.
Which data and why
When you contact us, we process the details you share, such as your name, email address, phone number, company name and the content of your message. We use these solely to answer your question and deliver our services. We don't sell your data and we don't share it with third parties for commercial purposes.
How long we keep data
We keep your data no longer than necessary for the purpose you provided it, or for as long as we are legally required to, for example for our accounting records.
Security
We secure our email and website to common best practices, including security software such as a virus scanner and firewall. In concrete terms, we use:
- TLS (formerly SSL). We send your data over a secure internet connection. You can see this from the 'https' and the padlock in the address bar.
- DKIM, SPF and DMARC. Three internet standards that prevent you from receiving emails in our name that contain viruses, are spam, or are intended to obtain personal (login) details.
- DNSSEC. An extra layer of security on top of DNS when translating a domain name into its associated IP address. It is given a digital signature that can be checked automatically, so you are not redirected to a fake IP address.
Your rights
You have the right to access your data, have it corrected or deleted, and to object to its processing. To do so, email sales@securebytes.be. If you're unhappy with how we handle your data, you can contact the Belgian Data Protection Authority.

We may update this privacy statement from time to time. The most recent version is always available on this page.
